Mint Julep I Recipe
The Mint Julep is a classic cocktail served at the Kentucky Derby, made from bourbon, mint, bitters and simple syrup, and served over crushed ice in a rocks glass.
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 oz Bourbon
- 10 leaves Mint
- 1 tsp Simple Syrup
- 3-4 dashes Angostura Bitters
- Garnish: Mint
- Glass: Rocks Glass
Directions
- Muddle mint, simple syrup and bitters in the bottom of a cocktail shaker.
- Add bourbon and crushed ice and shake well.
- Strain into a rocks glass and garnish with a sprig of mint.
