Rumstufian Recipe
The Rumstufian drink recipe is made from Guinness ale, gin, fin sherry, sugar, egg yolk, lemon, cinnamon, clove, allspice and nutmeg, and served warmed in coffee mugs. Recipe serves 2.
Ingredients
- 8 oz Guinness
- 2 oz Gin
- 2 oz Sherry - fino sherry
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 2 Egg - yolk
- Lemon - peel, for garnish
- stick Cinnamon
- 5 Clove
- dash Allspice
- pinch Nutmeg - for garnish
- Garnish: Nutmeg
- Glass: Coffee Mug
Directions
- Beat egg yolks and sugar in a bowl, and set aside.
- Heat the remaining ingredients, except nutmeg, in a sauce pan until nearly boiling.
- Add egg mixture and whisk constantly for about 45 seconds.
- Serve in warmed mugs and top with a pinch of freshly grated nutmeg.
