Pastinaca Recipe
The Pastinaca is a Mexican-themed drink perfect for Cinco de Mayo, made from silver tequila, mezcal, St-Germain elderflower liqueur, lime juice and grapefruit juice, and served in a chili/salt rimmed old-fashioned glass.
Ingredients
- 1 oz Tequila - Silver
- 1/2 oz Mezcal
- 1 oz Elderflower Liqueur (St-Germain)
- 1/2 oz Lime Juice
- 3/4 oz Grapefruit Juice
- Cayenne Pepper
- Salt
- Chili Powder
- Garnish: Lime, Chili Pepper, Salt
- Glass: Rocks Glass
Directions
- Wet the rim of a rocks glass by rubbing a lime over it, then dip the glass into a mix of sea salt, chili powder and cayenne pepper.
- Shake all ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker.
- Fill the glass with ice, then strain the drink over the ice.
- Garnish with a lime slice.
