Shamrock Sour Recipe
Celebrate your Irish-American heritage by honoring Saint Patrick with nothing other than a drink with an Irish sounding name! And if you're not Irish, just get drunk and rowdy and nobody will know the difference. The Shamrock Sour is an orange and green colored cocktail recipe made from Basil Hayden's bourbon, Green Chartreuse, lemon juice, grapefruit juice, agave syrup and egg white, and served over ice in a rocks glass.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Bourbon (Basil Hayden)
- 1/2 oz Green Chartreuse
- 1/2 oz Lemon Juice
- 1/2 oz Grapefruit Juice
- 1/2 oz Agave Syrup
- 1/4 Egg - white
- slice Lemon - for garnish
- sprig Mint - or 4-leaf clover, for garnish
- Garnish: Mint, Lemon
- Glass: Rocks Glass
Directions
- Shake all ingredients well in a cocktail shaker without ice.
- Add ice and shake again.
- Strain into a rocks glass full of ice.
- Garnish with a lemon slice and fresh mint.
