Pirate's Julep Recipe
Ahoy matey, pirates be ahead! The Pirate's Julep drink recipe is made from dark rum, curacao, orgeat syrup, bitters, mint and club soda, and served over ice in a highball glass.
Ingredients
- 3 oz Dark Rum
- 1 tsp Curacao - to float on top
- 1 tsp Orgeat Syrup
- 3-5 dashes Bitters (Peychaud)
- 10 leaves Mint
- Club Soda
- Garnish: Mint
- Glass: Highball Glass
Directions
- Muddle mint and orgeat syrup in the bottom of a highball glass.
- Pack with crushed ice, then add rum and bitters, and stir gently.
- Fill with club soda and stir again.
- Float curacao on top and garnish with more mint.
