Violet Julep Recipe
The Violet Julep is a festive variation of the classic Mint Julep. A clear and blue drink made from rum, violet liqueur, lime juice, simple syrup and mint, and served over ice in a highball or collins glass.
Ingredients
- 2 oz White Rum - or gin, vodka, tequila or pisco
- 3/4 oz Violet Liqueur (The Bitter Truth)
- 3/4 oz Lime Juice
- 1/3 oz Simple Syrup
- 6 leaves Mint
- Club Soda
- wedge Lime - for garnish
- Garnish: Lime, Mint
- Glass: Highball Glass
Directions
- Muddle mint, simple syrup and rum in a highball or collins glass.
- Fill with ice, then top with club soda.
- Float violet liqueur on top and garnish with a lime wedge and a sprig of mint.
